ALTERNATE ROUTES TO YOUR CAREER

I don’t care if you just arrived in L.A. or have been here your entire life. If you haven’t figured out that the traffic is horrendous and only getting worse every year, well, you just aren’t paying attention.

No matter where you start out from or where you’re headed, you must learn the alternate routes to your destination. There are NO excuses for being late for your auditions, least of all a traffic jam.

Don’t wait until you’re already in the car and on your way. Map out an alternate (or two) before you leave home. Side streets often work even better than main thoroughfares during rush hour, so get to know them.

Just remember: Traffic is totally unpredictable in L.A. Be smart and cover your you-know-what.
